The Department is pleased to announce that our Year 4 Undergraduate, Mr. Leung Lok, has been chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Service Awards in 2025/26.
The purpose of this award is to acknowledge and recognize undergraduates with outstanding service records in the Department. Thanks to all of your nomination and endeavour throughout the voting process, we finally come up to have Leung Lok as the awardee of the Outstanding Services Awards this year. It is a prestigious honour that serves to recognise the best of the best within our ranks; each awardee will receive a $1,000 prize.
What’s more, we are happy to have Leung Lok to share with us her wholehearted feelings of receiving this achievement 🙂

I am extremely honoured to receive this award, as I have devoted myself to promoting our Chemistry major to the next generation of students. I have always strived to be a more active speaker when interacting with students. Moreover, making sure that my content is accurate and consistent on every visit to our laboratory, and answer various questions raised by students as well. I hope that my efforts can help them become familiar with our university’s teaching environment and ignite a spark in their minds that encourages them to join our community.
I am truly flattered to receive this award and grateful that my efforts have been recognised. I would like to thank everyone who has invited me and helped me during various events. I also hope that my efforts can encourage others to come together and promote enthusiasm for Chemistry.
